The workshop will be a short introduction and synopsis of the Ballroom scene with theoretical and practical elements. The theoretical part will look at the history of the ballroom scene, its impact on dance, core elements of the art form as well as key factors that give passion and meaning to movements that will be elaborated in practical exercises (femme choreography, ballroom category: vogue femme). It is the hope that at the end of this workshop, an essential idea around influences as well as the Queer Trans BIPOC* legacy is understood and realised.
