A Thousand Steps to Silence
From the current production
Skin Deep
Tú Hoàng with the company
Of Curious Nature
In his choreography
A Thousand Steps to Silence, choreographer Tú Hoàng focuses on the fundamental Buddhist/Taoist aspiration to withdraw from “close-contact” with society, with all its potential for conflict. Tú Hoàng takes the dancers of
Of Curious Nature into the process of a meditative retreat from the agitated social everyday life and choreographically throws the ensemble between two poles: into strict movement meditation and the turmoil of being.
A production by TanzRAUM Nord gUG with steptext dance project, funded by the Performing Arts Fund with resources from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, by the Senator for Culture Bremen, and the Waldemar Koch Foundation Bremen.
