FAQ

1. What is the LANGE NACHT DER BÜHNEN, and how does it differ from a regular theater visit?

On September 20, 2025, the 2. LANGE NACHT DER BÜHNEN took place. 20 Bremen venues presented their programs from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m., followed by a closing party at 9:30 p.m. at Falstaff. Unlike a regular theatre visit, where you see one play at a single venue, many stages opened their doors at the same time during the Long Night. Visitors could experience theatre, music, dance, magic, guided tours, and performances in one evening, moving from stage to stage. Instead of a full-length performance, there were many insights into the work of the venues. Visitors could discover new places, meet artists, stroll through the city, and find inspiration. One ticket provided access to all events and to a festival atmosphere unique in Bremen.

2. Which venues were participating?

AMS! Theater, Blaumeier-Atelier, Boulevardtheater Bremen, bremer kriminal theater, Bremer Philharmoniker, bremer shakespeare company, Bremer Tourneetheater at Kulturzentrum Lagerhaus, Bürgerhaus Weserterrassen, etage° Bremen, Kulturzentrum Schlachthof, Mensch, Puppe!, Metropol Theater Bremen, OpusEinhundert at Theater im Volkshaus, Schnürschuh Theater, Schwankhalle / steptext dance project, Theater 11, tanzbar_bremen, Theater Bremen, Theaterschiff Bremen, Zentrum für Kunst.

3. What could visitors experience?

At every full and half hour, short and engaging program items were offered on the different stages. The program included insights into theatre and dance pieces, guided tours, open rehearsals, and audio walks. After the program, performers and the audience came together for the closing party at Falstaff of the bremer shakespeare company.

4. How much did a ticket cost?

Tickets could be chosen from three price categories: 15, 20, or 25 euros. Children aged 3 to 12 paid 5 euros. Children under 3 and companions of people with disabilities did not need a ticket.

5. What did a ticket cover?

A ticket gave visitors access to all events, as long as places were available. For events with limited capacity, it was recommended to arrive early.

6. How did entry work?

Advance tickets were exchanged for a wristband at the first venue. Alternatively, a wristband could be purchased at the evening box office. After that, a glance at the wristband allowed free entry to all other stages.

7. How accessible was the 2. LANGE NACHT DER BÜHNEN?

Many venues have barrier-free access. Information on individual venues was available on the website. A guided tour in easy language was offered, visiting the events “Hamlet” (4:00 p.m., Theater Bremen) and “Synth & Strings” (6:00 p.m., Zentrum für Kunst). Before the tour, there was an introduction to the pieces. Some events were interpreted in German Sign Language. The program flyer included accessibility information.

8. Was there an age restriction for participation?

No. The 2. LANGE NACHT DER BÜHNEN was family-friendly and offered many activities for children and young people. Some program items included age recommendations.
