The TanzDialoge format is a platform for artistic debate and exchange between independent dance professionals, initiated by the AG Tanzinitiative of the Landesverband freie darstellende Künste Bremen. Since 2020, the TanzDialoge have taken place annually with a changing focus. The TanzDialoge bring together artists who have never worked together before. This creates new encounters and synergy effects in the Bremen and Bremerhaven dance and art scene. Different backgrounds and diverse dance languages are confronted and explored. Within one week of rehearsals, diverse ten-minute dance pieces are created.
In 2025, the focus was on
interdisciplinary collaboration between dancers and audio artists, continuing the earlier cross-disciplinary orientation of TanzDialoge. In this interdisciplinary edition, dancers, choreographers, musicians, sound artists, and composers who had never worked together before came together and developed new forms of artistic expression. Music was not only understood as an accompaniment to dance, but as an equal partner in the creative process.
The performances took place on November 8 and 9, 2025, at the Schaulust. One or two dance artists and one audio artist who had not yet worked together came together and created a ten-minute piece within five days of rehearsals. TanzDialoge #6 consisted of five duos or trios who entered into a field of experimentation with an open mind. The theme and form – whether as a trio or duo with (live) music – emerged from the collaborative work.
