Im Anschluss an die
Peer to Peer-Akademie des tanz_netzwerk_bremen CONNECTION findet ein öffentliches Symposium statt. Hier werden die Erkenntnisse und Ergebnisse der Peer to Peer-Akademie zusammengeführt und die konkrete Vernetzung von Akteur:innen und Projekten in unterschiedlichen Formaten erprobt und diskutiert. Es wird sich auch der Frage gewidmet, in welcher Form die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Tanzschaffenden und Netzwerken der freien Szene verstetigt werden kann. Dabei wird ein Austausch darüber angeregt, wie sich die freie Tanzszene identifiziert.

Susanna Curtis' freiberufliche Karriere verläuft mit wechselnden Engagements als Choreographin, Tänzerin und Clown. Sie hat Tanz- und Tanztheaterstücke in Oxford, Edinburgh, Rotterdam, Ulm und Nürnberg uraufgeführt. Seit 2000 präsentiert sie regelmäßig neue Stücke (siehe Werkliste unten) in Nürnberg und Umgebung und auf Tournee mit ihrer Kompanie Curtis & Co – dance affairs. Sie ist Gründungsmitglied und 1. Vorstand der Tanzzentrale der Region Nürnberg e.V., eine Gruppe freier Choreographen der Region und seit 2017 im Vorstand des bayerischen Landesverbandes für zeitgenössischen Tanz. Ihre Arbeiten werden/wurden von der Stadt Nürnberg, der Stadt Fürth, dem Bezirk Mittelfranken, der Kulturstiftung der Sparkasse und dem bayerischen Landesverband für zeitgenössischen Tanz gefördert. Koproduzent von Curtis & Co. seit 2010 ist die Tafelhalle/Künstlerhaus im Kunstkulturquartier Nürnberg.
Lea Connert (she/her) studied theater at Freie Universität and Humboldt Universität in Berlin and worked as an assistant director and set designer in Düsseldorf, Berlin and New York. In 2012, she graduated from HfMT Hamburg's spoken theater directing program with a focus on devised performance and performative installations, received a scholarship from the ZEIT Foundation, and participated in the Lincoln Center Directors Lab in New York City. The following year, she curated and produced an international two-month program for Fleetstreet Theater in Hamburg. She worked as a tour manager for Hajusom - Transnational Center, the inclusive ensemble Meine Damen und Herren, for visual artist Wael Shawky, and as a company manager for Robert Wilson's Byrd Hoffman Watermill Foundation. In 2020, she founded her own intersectional production company, LEAD productions. She was the production manager of the International Summer Festival and is the director of the artistic production office (KBB) at Kampnagel - Internationale Kulturfabrik in Hamburg since 2022.

The Peer to Peer Academy will be followed by a public symposium. Here, the findings and results of the Peer to Peer Academy will be brought together and the networking of actors and projects in different formats will be explored and discussed. The symposium will also address the question of how collaboration between dance professionals and networks in the independent scene can be consolidated. An exchange on how the independent dance scene identifies itself will be encouraged.
Susanna Curtis from Tanzzentrale Nürnberg and Lea Connert will be part of the symposium as contributors.
The event is free of charge and will be held in German and English spoken language.
Please indicate in your registration which city and area your work focuses on. The symposium should be as accessible as possible to all. Therefore, please send a message to tanznetzwerk@lafdk-bremen.de if there are specific needs for barrier-free access (e.g. linguistic, financial or spatial).
