Workshops
Sowohl im Rahmen von tanz_netzwerk_bremen PROFESSIONAL als auch vom Folgeprojekt tanz_netzwerk_bremen CONNECTION fanden Workshops statt. Es wurden nationale und internationale Tänzer:innen, Choreograf:innen, Produktionsleiter:innen etc. als Workshopleiter:innen nach Bremen und in die Partnerstädte Münster und Dresden eingeladen. Die Workshops setzten neue Impulse für die Bremer Tanzschaffenden. Darüber hinaus dienten sie der wechselseitigen künstlerischen Anregung und weiterführenden Qualifizierung.

The underlying idea of the workshop is that as a choreographer you don’t necessarily need a dramaturg but you should develop your own dramaturgical reflection on your artistic practice.
The workshop will be given in English and is addressed to professional dance practitioners from Bremen, Dresden and Münsterland. A registration as a pair (1 dancer / 1 outside eye or callaborator) is desired but not mandatory.

The underlying idea of the workshop is that as a choreographer you don’t necessarily need a dramaturg but you should develop your own dramaturgical reflection on your artistic practice.
The workshop will offer participants practical tools and exercises to reflect upon, to evaluate and eventually to transform their creative process.
Using the cross, circle and labyrinth as graphic symbols, we will discuss the essential polarities of the creative process: perception, formation, intuition, experience.
In the workshop we will focus on perception (what to look for), articulation (how to express oneself best in order to get what one is looking for) and interdisciplinary practices: looking at how artists work in other disciplines and finding creative ‘translations’ of this toward one’s own practice.
Through practical and physical exercises we will explore how dramaturgy/the dramaturg can contribute to this process as witness, dialogue partner and ‘editor’. We will focus amongst others on the importance of rhythm and transitions inside the editing process.
The final goal of the workshop is to gain a different, renewed perspective of one’s own creative and choreographic process and methodologies through discovering the diversity of practices of the other participants.

Mit diesem Workshop möchten wir aufzeigen, welche Möglichkeiten für die Absicherung von Künstler:innen wirklich sinnvoll sind und wie diese am besten mit den staatlichen Institutionen kombiniert werden. Dabei berücksichtigen wir auch die aktuelle Rechtslage.
Im Fokus stehen besonders Fragen zur KSK und Altersvorsorge.
Welchen Versicherungsschutz brauche ich wirklich? Wann und wie kann ich in die KSK, und was bringt sie mir? Wie sieht meine Absicherung im Alter aus? Welche Produkte kann ich sinnvoll kombinieren? Wie kann ich mich auch als freischaffende Künstler:in gegen Berufsunfähigkeit versichern?

Nach der Ausbildung zum Musicaldarsteller an der Stage School in Hamburg begann 1992 Jens Bühnenkarriere, die ihn von den großen Long Run Musicals bis in die verschiedenen Stadttheater in Deutschland führte. Mit dem Wunsch nach Veränderung und einer innovativen Idee im Kopf gründete Jens 1999 die Agentur OMA- ausgerechnet in jenem Jahr, in dem die Musicalwelt Deutschlands aufgrund der Insolvenz von Stella vor großen Veränderungen stand.
Aus seiner Zeit im Theatergeschäft kam die Inspiration, sich mit der wirtschaftlichen Seite der Branche zu befassen. Parallel zur Gründung der Agentur schloss Jens in der Zeit von 1999 bis 2002 ein Studium zum Kulturmanager erfolgreich ab.
Seitdem arbeitet er als selbständiger Finanz- und Versicherungsberater mit Spezialisierung auf die Betreuung von Künstlern. Damit schließt Jens erfolgreich eine große Lücke in der Branche.Unterstützt durch Bureau RITTER/TANZPAKT RECONNECT, gefördert von der Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien im Rahmen der Initiative NEUSTART KULTUR. Hilfsprogramm Tanz und dem Senator für Kultur der Freien Hansestadt Bremen.

In this course we will explore acro dance and partnering and experience diverse ways of approaching and leaving the floor.
Tools such as breath, imagination and emotion will help us re-discover movements and find lightness. This lightness will lead us in our path towards energy efficiency.
Balance is not a static state; balance is a constant search. We will dedicate some time to feel the movement in the stillness of the inverted position. We will share our vocabulary of dynamic handstands, with the idea of passing through the handstand. To see the handstand as a step in the journey and not as the destination.
Use the floor as your partner and let the partner be your ground. Through animalistic games we let our bodies communicate with each other. For this we need to develop our ability to listen. We believe that nowadays listening is more important than ever. With the sensitivity and intuition that we develop through playfulness we will then start to understand the physical mechanisms of partnering. Let yourself move and be moved.

Wie wird aus einer Idee ein verständliches Konzept? Worauf sollte man bei der Verschriftlichung eines Vorhabens achten, damit eine Jury den Antrag fördern kann? Und wie kann ich mein Tanzprojekt in Elevator Pitches, Videopräsentationen oder bei der Begegnung mit Veranstalter:innen im Foyer überzeugend darstellen?
Dieser Workshop bietet Choreograph:innen und Tänzer:innen mittels Theorie, Erfahrungsaustausch und praktischen Übungen die Voraussetzungen für eine erfolgreiche schriftliche und mündliche Projektdarstellung - vom Aufbau einer inhaltlichen Struktur über Textwerkzeuge und Schreibhilfen bis hin zu Präsentationstechniken mit dem Einsatz von Körpersprache.
Bitte bringt möglichst Eure schriftlichen Konzeptentwürfe und Laptops mit.
Katharina von Wilcke ist Kuratorin, Produzentin, Dozentin und Beraterin für künstlerische und kulturelle Angelegenheiten. 1995 gründete sie DepArtment, das erste Produktionsbüro für Freie Darstellende Künste in Hamburg. Sie war Projektmanagerin bei zahlreichen Festivals und leitete im Auftrag der Kulturstiftung des Bundes von 2006 bis 2016 vier Ausgaben des Tanzkongress‘. Seit 2018 ist sie Jurymitglied des Förderprogramms TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund. In den letzten Jahren beschäftigt sie sich besonders mit dem Publikum und entwickelt eigene Vermittlungsformate.

Anya Saugstad will be leading a workshop focused on improvisational techniques and choreographic tools she uses in the creation of her own work, as well as teaching what she has learned from being a part of Vanessa Goodmans' creative process. BRIAN MENDEZ, Tänzer in DOG RISING der kanadischen Choreografin Clara Furey, ist auch für seine Voguing-Technik bekannt. In seinem Workshop unterrichtet er die fünf wesentlichen Elemente dieses Tanzstils.

Introduction: Action Theater performance training is an improvisational body-based methodology. The training helps dancers expand their physical forms and inhabit those forms with humanity. Through the practice of working solo and with partners, Action Theater develops a better understanding of ensemble architecture, the use of space and composition. Action Theater work returns the dancer back to her body, broadens the range and quality of her movement. It develops a unique and idiosyncratic vocabulary, frees the individual and brings each performer to a fresh, new relationship with their movement.

We can view our expression and communication as a composition of directional choices, and there are some directions - certain blindspots - that we don't normally access not for a lack of desire, but because we just might not yet know how to organise ourselves to get there.
The Feldenkrais Method® has this wonderful ability to help people realise a more accurate sensibility of the collaborative potential between all their anatomical parts to have a more well-rounded access into space. This clarification of the "self-image" will then serve as a dependable compass for spatial orientation to help with the crafting of one's artistic voice through movement composition, dance, and it will also provide another type of "skeleton" for further movement generation and research.
