Together, LAFDK and BUZZ want to advocate for the needs of circus practitioners with the AG Zeitgenössischer Zirkus (Contemporary Circus Working Group). The members of the AG Zeitgenössischer Zirkus wish to establish themselves as a strong circus scene in the region, initiate joint structural projects to strengthen the scene, find joint training venues and acquire more funds for circus and, last but not least, make contemporary circus presentable in the cultural-political context of the Hanseatic city.

The AG Zeitgenössischer Zirkus (Contemporary Circus Working Group) facilitates the networking of artists and educators who either actively practice circus arts themselves, teach circus arts to children and young people, book circus programmes or feel connected to circus in some other way.

In order to explore how circus could be anchored in the artistic and cultural life of the region, the AG Zeitgenössischer Zirkus (Contemporary Circus Working Group) meets about once a month in digital space, and hopefully also live in the future.
