The Peer to Peer-Academy has been followed by a public symposium. Here, the findings and results of the Peer to Peer-Academy were brought together and the networking of actors and projects in different formats was explored and discussed. The symposium also addressed the question of how collaboration between dance professionals and networks in the independent scene can be consolidated. An exchange on how the independent dance scene identifies itself was encouraged.

Susanna Curtis from Tanzzentrale Nürnberg and Lea Connert from LEAD Productions / Kampnagel took part in the symposium as contributors.

The event was hold in German and English spoken language.

The lab took place on 12th and 13th of May.

Susanna Curtis presents the work of the "Tanzzentrale der Region Nürnberg e.V. - Initiative für die freie Szene Tanz im Raum Nürnberg", for which she has been working for 26 years. Networking is part of her daily work. Together with Susanna Curtis, these questions, among others, will be discussed: What exactly is networking and why do we need it? What are the goals of networking? How do we make networking work for us in the long term?

What does distribution mean, how does distribution work in Germany and in other countries? What resources do I need in order to effectively and professionally create a strong impact for my work? How do I set up my work and what sacrifices do I have to make in order to tour extensively? Lea Connert gives an insight into her experience as an independent producer as well as a representative of an international production house. Case studies or role models are very welcome and can be discussed during the workshop!
