Artist Labs took take place at the Zentrum für Kunst (Tabakquartier Bremen) from 8 to 12 January 2024.

In the Artist Labs, ten dance professionals engaged in an exchange on artistic, thematic and methodological issues. A time slot of one week offered the two groups the opportunity for exploratory movement-based research. Project ideas were being tried out during the labs, sharpened and further developed through collegial feedback. The Artist Labs serve the professional exchange within Bremen's independent dance scene, based on the Netzwerk Tanzinitiative of LAFDK, and strengthen the dance profile of the dance sector and the city of Bremen.

Research that is independent of production in particular leads to new ideas and creates the opportunity to venture down a previously untried path of development. Different approaches and ways of working can thus mutually stimulate each other in new constellations.
