Over a hundred times, "Istanbul" has been performed at Theater Bremen, singing in Turkish about the longing for happiness and home. Drawing from personal family experiences and questions of home and arrival, the team of Selen Kara, Ak?n Emanuel ?ipal, and Torsten Kindermann presents an original perspective on the lives of guest workers. At the center are the songs of Sezen Aksu, the queen of Turkish pop.
