Message from the Patron Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte:
"Dear Friends of the Bremen Stages!
The pandemic phase, along with performance restrictions in the local cultural scene, has also brought about numerous new ideas and initiatives. What began as an exchange among Bremen's stages in response to Corona has now evolved into the first Lange Nacht der Bühnen, potentially establishing a notable and watchable tradition.
Bremen's theater landscape is rich and colorful; it extends far beyond big names like Theater Bremen or the Bremen Shakespeare Company. On September 21, 2024, Bremen's theaters will open their venues for seven hours during the Lange Nacht der Bühnen. Offerings will include excerpts from productions, open rehearsals, and guided tours. Theater creators will collectively showcase their remarkable range to attract new audiences and enhance the visibility of Bremen's stages. Since the events are scheduled sequentially, visitors can experience the full diversity that Bremen's theater landscape has to offer, not just on this evening but as a compact opportunity to discover new things.
Bremen's theater landscape deserves attention and support. I thank the organizing team for their dedication and wish the visitors of the Lange Nacht der Bühnen much pleasure and enlightenment."
