Insight into the Theater Labs: Dance-Theater-Music Workshop (ages 6 and up)
Two theaters share a venue at Volkshaus: since 2013, Wilde Bühne and Opus Einhundert have been based here, alternating performances. The same goes for the Long Night: in successive time slots of 20-30 minutes, they will present themselves and provide insights into their work.
Do you want to experience the stage? In this half-hour workshop with dance, theater, and music educators Larissa Günthör, Farina Maletz, and Maic Wrehde, you will get a glimpse into dance, theater, and music exercises. With play and fun, we will warm up our bodies, voices, and expressions to prepare for a long evening at the Long Night of Bremen’s Stages.
OpusEinhundert is a non-profit cultural institution based at Theater im Volkshaus. Since 2011, OpusEinhundert has been designing and implementing inclusive and intergenerational music, dance, and theater projects in Bremen and Northern Germany. According to participants, culture becomes an occasion for “unique encounters,” “fantastic community experiences,” and “incomparable moments.” With "Theater im Volkshaus" (TiV), OpusEinhundert offers cultural participation to a wide range of target groups. Since 2013, the house has invited people to cultural events such as family theater performances, concerts, readings, and guest performances, making it a place of encounter, participation, and movement beyond the neighborhood. With the traditional family play during the Christmas season, many preschool and elementary school children enjoy their first theater experience.
